1. IMDB Advanced Search
IMDB improved the "Advanced Search" section recently. Well, perhaps its been more than two years but it's not been much since I realized that, that's why I wrote "recently". Whatever... The new advanced search is... well, really "advanced". If you rougly remember the year, country and the genre of the movie[you're looking for], you can likely find. I'm gonna explain how I found two movies[I was looking for] this way.
Bunker

Open IMDB, click Advanced Search from drop-down menu.

Click Advanced Title Search.
Now, we have a lot of options here. I wrote this about Bunker in a very scruffy way:
"horror movie. i only remember a scene. i guess it was set in old time. im not sure about any of this, there were soldiers, their outfits were old(it wasn't as old as 1700s of course). a soldier was trying to get out of underground. it was a tunnel like place. because it was a scary movie, we zapped to another channel. and when we came back later, a soldier was about to get out of the tunnel to a forest. he was getting out but there were skeletons under the ground, and they were trying to pull him down. but i guess he managed to get out. the movie had dark and pale coloring. but the shots were pretty cool. it was probably 2000s movie."
I'm gonna scroll down on imdb search page and check the options. Lets start...

I checked "Feature Film, Tv Movie, Tv Special, Short Film, Video" from "Title Type" section. Because I'm not sure which category the movie belongs to.
I wrote 1990-2008 in Release Date section. Because as far as I remember, the movie's quality was not bad, so I think it's shot after 1990. And I'm sure I watched it before 2008, so the movie cannot be shot after 2008.
I wrote 200-30.000 in Number of Votes section. I don't think a movie would receive less than 200 votes if it has aired in Turkish tv channels and also not had a bad quality. And I don't think it was very famous that would receive more than 30.000 votes. Of course it's just a shot in the dark, I can't be sure how many votes it did received. By the way, you have to write without inserting dots between the numbers. So, don't write "30.000", but "30000".
I checked Horror in Genre section. I'm sure it was a horror movie.

I'm checking Color in Color Info section. If the movie is colored, check "Color", if it's black and white check "Black & White". I have no idea what "Colorized" option is, actually.
I'm not sure about Countries section. It was probably American or European movie. Unfortunately, choosing a few countries from the list doesn't mean "it was one of those countries", it means "it was definitely those countries". If I choose US, France and Germany, it will list the movies that producted by those three countries together in results page. It won't list pure Germany productions. I didn't find this part of the search very functional. Or it's just me don't know how to use it properly. Whatever, I'm not selecting any countries.
What I said for Countries section is same for Language section. We cannot say "one of those languages". If we could, that would come in handy. Like, I'd choose English and some European languages. But since its not possible, I'm not selecting any languages.

Scroll down and hit Search.

Yep, as you can see, that didn't work very well. How can I find the movie I'm looking for through 2.242 movie?
Let's go back and play with Keyword section.

It's very important to write the right Keyword. I can't say it'll work for sure, some movies doesn't have any keywords anyway. Which means, even if we write the correct keyword it's not gonna work. For this movie[Bunker], I write 'soldier' because, well, the movie has some soldiers in it. Just writing doesn't work, you have to write and hit enter and select a keyword from drop-down menu. In this case, I'm clicking Soldier from the menu. Then scroll down and hit search again.

As you can see, now its down to 64 movies. Not a huge number. We can easily see if the movie we're looking for is in the result list or not. Bunker is on number 25. When I first looked at Bunker's poster I thought "it's probably the movie I'm looking for" but I couldn't be sure even after reading the plot, because I wasn't remembering anything about the movie. But the moment I saw the photo, I was sure that was my movie(I don't have to tell which photo I'm talking about). They're like "this is the movie you're looking for"... creepy.
What I meant by saying you have to be careful inserting keywords is that I knew the movie was set in an old time, so I wrote '1930s' to keyword section first, but those kinda dates(1930s, 1940s...) was not added to movie's keywords. But 'Soldier' was. I mean, even if you're sure that the keyword you wrote is correct, you may not find the movie. You have to keep trying...
Here is another example of a movie I found this way.
PAPER BRIGADE
That's what I wrote for the movie in my notepad:
"And there was a movie I watched long time ago. It must shot before 2003, after 70, probably 90s movie. A boy delivers newspaper with his bicycle. It wasn't a serious movie, it was kinda comedy, kinda a movie for kids. I remember a scene, the boy's little brother was dragging him to bathroom at midnight, then he was opening the cold water onto his bro(to wake him up to go to work) and while the bro was screaming camera was showing the garden, and there was a squirrel-like animal."

I'm choosing Feature Film, Tv Movie and Video from title type section. I don't exactly know what the other options are. The movie you're looking for is probably in those categories I checked. If you can't find your movie, you can go back and try with checking other options...
I wrote 85-2003 as Release Date. I'm sure I watched it before 2003. Actually it didn't looked older than 90 but I wrote "after 85" just in case.
I'm writing 200-15.000 in Number of Votes section. Without the dot of course. Just a wild guess.
Choosing Family from Genre section.

Choosing Color from Color Info.
Choosing United States from Countries
Choosing English from Language
Writing 'Paperboy' to keyword section.
Hitting Search...

And the movie is in fourth number.
In short, I'm just saying IMDB Advanced Search is very useful to find the movies you're looking for.
3. Reddit
Reddit.com'a üye olun. Tip of My Tongue kısmında biraz alta inip sağdaki "Submit a Link"e tıklayın, az çok İngilizce biliyorsanız rahatça derdinizi yazın-yani aradığınız filmi hatırladığınız kadarıyla anlatın.
